Avengers Assemble! Marvel Disassemble!

Thanks to Mark D. for bringing this one to light.

All is not well in Marvel Paradise.  On the heels of a top-notch opening weekend for Iron Man 3, trouble has been brewing in and around the production of Avengers 2.  It seems as though the talented cast of thespians think they should get paid the value that one would imagine the driving force behind one of the most successful movies EVER would deserve.  Don;t you think?

Marvel Studio has a different opinion.

Aside from Robert Downey Jr.m, who cleaned up during The Avengers with a whopping $50 mil. payout, the other cast members received paltry payments for their efforts.  And with contract negotiations underway for A2, Marvel doesn't see the need to increase their rates much from their original contracts.  Even Marvel Studio's parent company, Disney, is steering clear of active involvement.  The cast is seemingly flocking behind RDJ, the only one will any real clout in the cast; he has already expressed his disinterest with working for a company that won't give everyone the proper respect.

Will we see an Avengers 2 with the same cast we had in the first one? Will RDJ save the day?

Stay tuned, true believers!
