Wolverine to be renamed Miss Kitty Fantastico and other news

The big news coming out of comics this summer is the metaphorical declawing of X-Men fan favorite and all-around curmudgeon, James "Logan 'Wolverine'" Howlett.  In Wolverine issue #8 the hero will lose his much-relied-upon mutant healing factor, rendering him mortal and killable. Anyone familiar with the character (and after 40 years in comics, three and one-sixteenth X-Men ensemble movies and 1 self-titled picture, it's unlikely there is anyone that doesn't know who he is) understands that his healing factor is a major part of what makes him him.

The story arc will follow how Logan copes with his loss of immortality and where he goes from there. Many rumors are circulating, the biggest being that the mastermind behind his predicament is his arch-nemesis, Sabretooth.  There will be a lot of emotional and philosophical repercussions to this change.  How will a character who's entire being has been defined by his inability to die react to the threat of death? Duh duh duhhhhhhh...
